Last updated July 6, 2026. By using WhatToWatch you agree to these terms.

The service

WhatToWatch provides tools to discover, track, and share information about movies and television. Features may change over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Your account

  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country).
  • One person per account unless we explicitly allow otherwise.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
  • Upload malware, spam, or unlawful content.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use the service in a way that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, lists, profile text). You grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate the service. Public profile and list settings you enable may be visible to other users.

Third-party content

Posters, descriptions, and provider availability come from third-party sources. We do not warrant their accuracy. See Copyright & Attributions for notices about external data.

Copyright & DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on WhatToWatch infringes your copyright, see our DMCA Policy for how to file a notice and our counter-notification process. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and the rights you have over your data.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of WhatToWatch.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts with jurisdiction there, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Changes & termination

We may update these terms or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
