A young, hyperactive boy named Petryk Pyatochkin loves to play, but can't seem to fathom that, sometimes, one also needs a break. One day, during his stay the kindergarten he tries to count the elephants in order to calm down and fall asleep. Miracolously, he does, but, after he wakes up in Africa and realizes that he now has to take care of several hyperactive baby elephants, he becomes desperate to find his way home.
